Speeding Ticket Secret #2

Don't Try to
Prove Your Innocence

Prosecutors Absolutely Love It When People
Go To Court To 'Prove' They Were Not Speeding.

If you're like most with a pending court trial fast approaching, you're probably running around in circles trying to come up with a way to somehow show you were not speeding.

This is yet another huge misconception... the idea that the defendant has to prove they are innocent.

Everyday, people walk into court with 101 reasons that supposedly show they did not speed. They have pictures, diagrams and witnesses to support their claim. With all their hard efforts, they still wind up with a ticket on their record.

Ever heard the saying, "Innocent until proven guilty"? I'm sure you have. The same holds true inside traffic court.

Our legal system does NOT require you to prove you're innocent.

It's the prosecutor and police officer that has the burden of proving you committed the crime. They have to show convincing proof of your guilt, and with speeding tickets this is much more difficult than it sounds.

Save yourself the headache of going to court and convincing the judge you are not guilty... IT WON'T WORK!

The defense system I developed requires the least amount of effort on your part. It is designed so that the bulk of the work weighs on the prosecution to do its job and prove to the court (with convincing evidence) you are 100% guilty.

You won't have to prove a single thing in the courtroom, nor will you do much talking.

In my 4+ years of studying the court system, I've witnessed people defend themselves by claiming the radar gun wasn't working properly, their speedometer was faulty or the officer targeted the wrong vehicle... it was the car next to theirs that should have gotten the ticket, not them.

You really think the judge is going to believe that? Even if it's true, how are you going to prove it?

There's a far easier, more proven method to get your case dismissed without giving excuses, attacking the police officer's credibility or explaining why you think you shouldn't have received the ticket.

Don't say anything that will hurt your chances at winning. The more you talk, the deeper you dig yourself into a hole.

Which brings me to my next point...

...never testify on the stand!

Although you may want nothing more than to tell your side of the story, avoid testifying at all costs. The prosecutor is trained at making a truthful person seem like a liar. You won't be able to handle his powerful attempts to find a crack in your testimony.

Important Note: If the prosecutor invites you to take the stand, reject the offer. You're under no legal obligation to do so. He wants you to take the stand because he knows once he's done with you, the case is over.

Besides, testifying on the stand is a nerve racking experience. It's highly unlikely you'll win this way. The whole objective is to make this as easy a process as possible, and taking the stand is not the way to do it.

If you are going to court with the intention of telling the judge your version of what happened, you WILL lose... plain and simple.

Once again, I can't stress this enough... it is not your job to declare you are innocent. By law, you already are (that's what our Constitution says), so there's no reason for you to prove it.

The burden of proof is on the prosecution to prove otherwise, not you!

Keep it that way and you'll dramatically increase your chances of winning if you do.
